Bearwood School Christmas Fair 2000

Deborah Hurst reports:

Once again, the time had come for some festive fun at the school fair. So loaded with excited children and a camera, off we went. This is always an outing worth the effort, especially with any “young-uns”. Held in late November, it is always festive, so you cannot help but get into the spirit of it all.

As before, there was so much there to see, do and especially eat - well, it was nearly Christmas! There was an assortment of games, including the renowned “Splat the Rat”, and face, arm and nail painting – definitely needing a steady hand. Tombola, Raffles, Information Tables and many more. I have to admit I made a beeline for the wonderful cake stall – rather too many times, I’m ashamed to admit!

The children’s favourite has to be the visit to Father Christmas, who was absolutely marvellous. He spent time chatting with each child as they stood in absolute awe – enough to give you camera shake!

The whole event was so well organised, I would like to offer my congratulations to everyone involved. Hope to see you there in November!
