Bearwood School Update - Winter 2000

It has been an extremely busy term at Bearwood School. The travelling Book Fair visited us in October, as part of National Book Week. The children were involved in various activities, such as writing book reviews, designing book posters and bookmarks. The Fair raised over £400 worth of new books, to help develop our school library.

To celebrate Harvest Festival this Autumn, the children designed and made envelopes to collect their donations. During their Harvest assemblies, the children returned their envelopes, and raised £150 for Food Aid.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with reading in our Year 1 Class. Anyone who is able, willing and interested, please contact the school.

Finally, the Bearwood School PSFA held their annual Christmas Fair on 25 November. For more information, read the report coming soon to Bearwood Roundup.
